Princess Thomas

when i go shopping, i always set a limit of spending to myself.
plus 20% increment.
;)
let say.. budget is rm100, i would search for something within rm100, but if none comes up to my liking, i add rm20 more to it.
and i usually stick to it.

i am not really a spender when it comes to myself.
well.. not all the time.
it's a lie if i say i abide by it all the time!

(i can hear the close friends screaming:
Hello!! did u forget the Miu Miu, miow miow whatever??)

however, this post is not about me going shopping.
since i became a mother, my tolerance towards shopping for my daughter is.. very low.

i dont mind if dont get to buy that Zara blouse for me.
but i do mind if dont buy it for my little princess.

i dont mind if i have to wear that same old sandal.
but to see her wearing the same sandal all over really makes me buy 2 more new shoes for her!

i dont mind if dont get to use that organic shampoo for my hair.
but i cannot tahan myself from buying Burt's Bee Shampoo and Wash for her.
just so that her skin will be soft and supple.

my laptop is dead. and i need a new one.
awhh it's ok. i can just share with Hub.
but she doesnt have many toys. unlike other children.
poor baby.
 let's buy some.

haiya..
i am telling you..
when it comes to your child,
you tend not to mind.

and dont forget the craziness over clothes!
i am really getting crazy over girls' clothes.
whenever i go out and see pretty baby clothes,
i always make a reason for me to buy.

'she doesnt have enough pants. mostly shorts'
'she has 1 or 2 skirts only. she needs more. so she looks more like a girl'
'her tshirts are getting smaller. this looks cute'
'she's holding the shirt. she must likes it! it'd be sad for her if we dont buy'

see, always a reason.
if Hub is in a realistic state of mind, he would talk me out of it.
if he is in the same state of mind like me, well, as expected, of course we splurge!
hm..i think splurge is a strong word.
we buy accordingly.
any term for that?

recently i went to Toys'r'us.
just me.
i was out with friends, so before going back, i thought of buying her something.
in my mind, i set a limit of rmX.
so, i was thinking of buying small cars, or masak-masak thingie.
(she soon to be 11 months and i think those are okay kot
even though later they will end up in her mouth)
Hub suggested for Chuggington since she loves watching Chugginton on Disney and YouTube.
i was like: hm..it costs more.
can she play well with trains?
i can imagine her throwing the train or licking it instead.
after much thinking, and belek-belek toys and wassapping Hub the pics of the toys, and imagining, and going back and forth between toys alleys, and contemplating, and hesitating,...
i ended up buying a toy that costs double of rmX.
'takpela..dia mesti suke ada lagu2.. nnt dia mst goyang2 badan. she looks so cute doing so'
'she doesnt have this canggih train. she seems to like it when she played with Syahmi's'
'ala..bukan selalu pun ayra dpt toys..'
'budak lain lagi byk toys. hers considered very very little'

u see???
but i dont mind.
and Hub wasn't really helping me either.
hahahha
he told me to buy that actually.
pfffft.

but she likes it.
she chases it.
dances along to the music.
she smiles so happily.
and that is Priceless.
no money can buy.

Princess and her Thomas Train.

of course she likes the taste more than playing with it.
