the story of me and maybank

i went to Ikea with Ayra and my cousin, Uui yesterday.

to buy frames.

finally, ada juga gambar Ayra!

so, when we were there i had to go to the Maybank ATM.

literally zero in my purse.

i chose fast cash withdrawal.

u know, where the amount is automatically published so u dont have

to key in the amount.

so i chose RM200.

when the money came out, i took them and press No for Receipt.

i dont print receipt unless i want to know what's left.

other wise i just check Maybank2u.

i dont like printing something i dont really keep.

it's a waste of papers.

the notes came out were RM100 and 5 orange-red colored bills.

i saw 5.

wait, 5?

i thought i opted for 200.

how come i only get 150??

i checked my transaction online as i dont have any receipt.

yup, true, 200 was deducted from my account.

so where is another 50??

 is there something wrong with the machine?

this has never happened to me.

i called Maybank straight away.

telling them what happened and all.

tons and tons of verification needed.

and finally, 

'so when can i expect to get the 50??'

'it'll take around 7-14 working days maam. the amount will be credited into 

your account'

then we hung up.

continue walking in Ikea while

so i told my cousin:

how much did i owe u again? i think it's around 30.

just take this.

i handed her 4 bills of orange-red bills.

uui:

dont u have small change? i dont think it's that much.

u're giving me 80!

me:

what?

no la. it's 40

there. see?

we looked at the notes.

then we both starred at each other.

OMG!

so, i did get full Rm200?

i actually got 5 notes of RM20!

now it makes sense!

takkanla mesin salah kira!

but wait,

did i just made a false call to maybank claiming that they 'took' 50 from me?

we laughed aloud in Ikea.

so, it turned out that i got confused of the bills!

the colors.

the RM10 and RM20 are so similar.

and i am so not familiar with RM20 notes.

hardly get them.

or use them.

so, really, it was an honest mistake.

but being a muslim, of course i will not take that RM50 that 

they will 'give' back to me.

i called them straight away to cancel my report.

maybank lady:

so miss, may i know why u want to cancel your report?

me:

i am so sorry, i got confused of the colors.

it was actually RM20. not RM10.

so, please. no need to give me 50.

after going through tons of verification questions and what not, 

it was cancelled. 

i am just thankful that those maybank people cannot see me!

im sure when they hung up, 

they told each other and made fun at me

hahahah.

serves me right!
